Hi Jit!

Just read your letter.

I felt quite sad when I knew, through CELINEJULIE, that Rohmer had died.
He´s one of my favourite directors: a friend.
I can´t think of a single bad Rohmer-movie. All of them are interesting, most of them are amazing. But even when I didn´t find a certain movie ravishing (it happened with CONTE DE PRINTEMPS, don´t ask me why. The magic wasn´t there.), even then, it was like having an insubstantial chat with someone you cherish.
I can´t count with my fingers the Rohmer movies that I adore. LE GENOU DE CLAIRE; L´AMOUR, L´APRÈS-MIDI; LA COLLECTIONNEUSE; CONTE D´ÉTÉ (my first Rohmer); CONTE D´AUTOMNE; LE RAYON VERT; LA FEMME DE L´AVIATEUR; PAULINE À LA PLAGE; MA NUIT CEHZ MAUD...
So many...
He was a magician.
And I think he´s the key to the mystery in Rivette´s OUT 1...
